I think living in Australia has made me very aware of my cultural surroundings and the people around me. As a Chinese Australian I feel like I do not belong whatsoever in the country that I was born in and hoped so much to fit into. I started this blog in Shanghai during my world trip and was deeply disappointed at the isolation I felt in my city of birth... a city that is forever growing economically and constantly developing into one that is more Western.

I truly hope one day my birth country and I will get along...
