Snapfish Promo :)

Dear Delilah,
For 3 days only, your first 50 prints* are just 1c each.
Just use coupon code
1CENTINTAU9 when you checkout.
Offer ends Thurs 11 June 2009.

For those who aren't familiar with SNAPFISH, it's an online based digital photo printing company from those who run HP! They have great prints and postage is generally cheap, actually it is cheap.

The thing I love about this place is that it's cheap and when you sign up you get 20 free prints. Not only that but they usually have other great offers. I've made two photo books with them and they've turned out great. I sent one to France and gave it to my host family who took me into their home/lives in 2003/4 and they loved it!

Take those 20 free prints and then add these 50 and you're paying 50 cents plus postage for 70 photos :) GREAT DEAL

PS. They print on matte paper too! (I hate glossy paper!)

Home Decoration Ideas

Have lots of photos like me but too many to stick on your walls?
Try something like this:

This is an ingenious idea by I'm guessing a lady called Andrea. You can download her program: Andreamosaic for free and it basically takes all the pictures you have/want included and places them in an arrangement of a photo of choice. Above, Andreamosaic has chosen Van Gogh's Starry Night. Isn't it cool?

I've always been intrigued by this program but unfortunately Andreamosaic is only for PC's. Linux and Mac users need programs such as Parallel and Wine to get this going (Windows emulators).

For those (like me) who couldn't care less about having Windows on my beautiful Mac I've found a solution! Meet: MacOSaiX! Same concept, not sure if the program layout itself is similar as I've never used Andreamosaic but the end result is the same :)

Rejoice! Both PC and Mac users can make pretty mosaics of their photos.
I'm still trying to get my mosaic going of my travels, will update when I find one.

Note. The end result mosaic is said to be very large, up to 1.5gigs. Please ensure you have the memory/RAM and hard drive space to let the program run
(My Mac can't handle it anymore... nor can it handle Photoshop haha)

Both are FREE programs :)

MacOSaiX download: HERE

Once you've got the mosaic done, take it to a photo place and get it put on some canvas and hang it up in you're room :) PRETTY!

Happy Mosaic-ing :)
In and out

Perfection!

I am very very excited :)
I just found the most perfect film scanner to cater for my needs.
Scrap ebay, owning a Mac limits me from buying the cheap ones from there, but they only hold around 6 135 film frames per scan anyway. Not as good as this baby:

The Epson Perfection 4490 Photo Scanner :)
- a regular flatbed (with super features)
- scans 120 film (:o :o, so happy)
- scans up to 12 frames of 135 film!
- (best part) MAC compatible!!!
- RRP of $399

I've only been searching 5 minutes but I found one that sells it with insured shipping for only $341! I'm so happy, the fact that it scans 120 makes it a lot more valuable to me. Better than the thousands of dollars that other Mac compatible scanners can be

(Oh and don't tell me Macs are silly. I love my two Macs!)

Hobbies :)

Harrro.

My name is Delilah and I am a Vogue and Facebook addict.
It's quiteeeee sad.
I have a really addictive personality. Once I get started on
something I can't stop unless I do it so much that I get bored.
I love routines. Mmm... is that why I like Pringles?

Right now I'm obsessed with sewing.
Sew sew sew
Cut cut cut
Unstitch unstitch unstitch

My current joint project is: Little Hurricano
The rose anglaise material from the passport holder
I made is actually from cutoff materials
from our little LH venture.
For some reason I'm completely motivated by it
and try and come up with new things
to make/sell, kinda sucks cos I don't really have the
money to fund this little project.

Anywayyyy, another fun thing I like to do to kill time is to take photographs.
I own:
- Leica C Lux-2 in Black (suck on that keng9999 :-p)
- Lomography fisheye (in blue but it peeled off, how sad)
- Holga 120 CFN
- Fuji Instax Mini 7S in a horrific pink
- Kodak Brownie 127 Bakerlite
- Nikon D60 with VR NIKKOR 18-55mm f/2.5-5.6G and VR Zoom-Nikkor 55-200mm f/4-5.6G IF-ED
I had a lovely Sony Cybershot T2 but that got lost along my travels... namely in Beijing. It was the perfect camera I'm still getting acquainted with my Leica.

Photo of my family coming soon :)
